I have had a bag of this in my cart for a while, obsessing over reviews and reading about the company etc. I am SO SO SO fussy about coffee (rather come home and make my own). First impressions were wonderful, hubby came up with the Amazon box and said, "Whatever coffee this is, it smells great." Yup, the aroma is very very nice. The beans ground evenly.... seemed extremely fresh.... and had some oils on them (although not so oily it all sticks to the grinder). Roast was definitely med-dark. I like a lighter blend and hubby likes a dark blend -- BOTH OF US AGREE WE LIKE THIS COFFEE -- that has not happened before! It is a gentle tasting coffee (prob will try it a bit stronger next time) and very easy going down. ZERO BITTERNESS and acidity, which is what we both look for. Even my mom enjoyed this coffee, so that makes 3/3 here. Yep, I'll buy this again although I do wish they'd offer in a larger bag so it is more cost effective. Even for me this prob is a bit more expensive than I'd stick with for every day.
This isn't my go to low acid coffee, but mine was currently sold out. I was happy with this coffee. The only thing that made me go back to my go to coffee was that the flavor wasn't my favorite. It wasn't awful, I just prefer what I am used to. The price was good, as well. Low acid coffee can be more expensive and I was happy to find a good coffee that was low acid and didn't break my bank account. I would use this coffee again, if my favorite was sold out.
Supposed to be whole bean, but it was ground coffee. The aroma and the taste were weak.Updating to 4star - the whole bean version was more flavourful while being gentle on the stomach. The mistake with the packaging came from Amazon fulfillment.
Medium Roast/whole beans: I really liked the taste of this clean coffee (first purchase), however I’ve checked back several times to order more & always get “currently unavailable”.
Summary: it really is low in acid and allows me to drink coffee without acid reflux.I originally left a negative review because the coffee bag was not vacuum packed and you could squeeze air of the packaging. So I questioned the purity of the coffee. However, now that I've drank this coffee for over six weeks, I really don't care about the packaging. I can drink coffee without acid reflux. Huge deal for me. I would give it 5 stars for freshness if the company vacuum sealed their coffee beans.
